Sample Submission Guidelines

BEFORE commissioning analyses, contact the laboratory (legal@usp.br) to consult on the suitability of the applied methodology for your needs and to pre-schedule the analyses period. Ideally, contact the laboratory before sample collection to inform us of the location and type of sediment, and to consult on the sampling and luminescence analysis strategy. Information on sampling can be found here.

Each sample should contain the following information:

Turnaround time

Please contact us to inquire about current turnaround times for specific analysis types and sample quantities. As a general guideline, the typical processing time is approximately 6 months for up to 15 samples submitted for quartz OSL-SAR dating and up to 8 samples submitted for potassium feldspar pIRIR-SAR dating. Actual turnaround times may vary depending on sample age and luminescence characteristics.
